Dora Thomas

My Story

Dora M. Thomas has been dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities since 2011. With a warm and personable approach, she takes the time to truly understand the unique needs, interests, and aspirations of the individuals and families she serves. She strongly believes in teamwork and collaboration, ensuring that each person’s voice is heard and their goals are prioritized.

As a passionate advocate, Dora is committed to fostering independence and inclusion through a person-centered approach. She prioritizes both the well-being and active participation of individuals in their communities, recognizing the invaluable benefits of structured programs and resources available through the state.

Dora earned her Bachelor of General Studies with an emphasis in Psychology from Brigham Young University in 2008. Originally from Mexico City, she moved to the United States in 1993 and is a fluent Spanish speaker.

 

Beyond her professional life, Dora is a proud mother of five, with four grown children and her youngest currently in high school. She is an avid runner, an enthusiastic traveler, and a true people person. She finds immense fulfillment in her work, embracing both the challenges and rewards that come with making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
